The objective of this research is to find out whether there is an influence of socio-affective strategies toward students speaking skills at the eleventh grade of SMKN 2 Kota Serang. The researcher conducted this research by applying quantitative approach with quasi experimental design. In this research, all students at the eleventh grade of SMKN 2 Kota Serang. The study was carried out n two classes, they are the control class and the experimental class. The researcher used cluster sampling as a sample and the  sample were 69 students. The data were gathered throught tests which were delivered into pre-test and post-test. The result of the study showed that influence socio-affective strategies were used in learning speaking. Average of post-test score of the experimental class (78.06) is higher than the control class(63.41). based on the statistical using testwilcoxon analysis with the output, Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) worth 0,000. Because the value of 0,000is smaller than 0.05, which indicated that H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted, so it indicated there was an influence of using socio-affective strategies towards students speking skills at the eleventh grade of SMKN 2 Kota Serang.Based on the results above, is an influence socio-affective strategy to used in discussing speaking for high school. So, the teacher can implement this strategy into conversation to make students more active and confident.
