The objective of this research is investigating the use of video movie
in teaching listening at SMA Negeri 6 Pandeglang. To know the
process which occur in teaching listening by using video movie. The
researcher used qualitative method and case study as a research
design. The research was conducted on 16th May, 2019. The
participants of this research were the English teacher and the
students of XI IPA 2 SMA Negeri 6 Pandeglang. The students were
asked to watch video movie as the process of learning listening. The
video movie that used was Coco.To gain the data needed to answer
research questions, three techniques were employed; observation,
questionnaire, and documentation. The researcher used observation
to find out the process of teaching listening used video movie. To
complete it, the researcher also used documentation which were the
photos of the process and the paper of students‘ score after learning
English through video movie. On the other hand, questionnaire was
used to answer the students‘ response on the use of video movie in
teaching listening. The data analysis showed that the process of
litening goes well and interesting. The students also got the
expectable score since they were learn in fun and interesting way so
they can enjoyed it. The students of XI IPA 2 SMA Negeri 6
Pandeglang also gave the positive response toward the use of video
movie in teaching listening.
