The objective of the research was to find out the effectiveness of using legend animation movie toward students listening skill at tenth grade of SMAN 6 Kota Serang. In this research, the researcher conducted quantitative research in collecting the data with true experimental research design as a method of the research. The populations of this research were the students of tenth grade in SMAN 6 Kota Serang, and the sample were the students of X IPA 1 as experimental class and X IPA 2 as control class. The classes were chosen by cluster random sampling from ten classes. In collecting the data, the researcher conducted pre-test and post-test consisting of 20 multiple choice items A, B, C or D. In analyzing the data, the researcher used T-test. The result of the calculation showed that in the significance degree of 5% is is tcount(26.59) is higher than ttable(2.00). It means the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that legend animation movie is effective on the students’ listening skill at tenth grade of SMAN 6 Kota Serang. Furthermore, this media can be an alternative media for teaching English especially in listening skill.
