The objectives of the research are to know how the process and the result of students writing ability in recount text through picture series. The researcher conducted the classroom action research as the methodology. This research conducted in two cycles. This classroom action research held at MTs Syekh Mubarok Kab.Tangerang. The subject of the study was VIII A which consist 32 students. The instruments used in data collecting were test as quantitative data, observation sheet, and documentation as the qualitative data. Based on the data has been obtained, the students more interetsted in teaching learning activity. The students more motivated to follow the material and it can see from the students score that showed the improvement from pre-test to cycle 2. The result showed that in pre-test, the average score of students is 54.38, on cycle I the average score was improved to 68.13 and 77.5 on cycle II. There were 100% students reached the indicator of success. This means picture series improved the students writing recount text in teaching learning process.
