THE INFLUENCE OF USING EDMODO TOWARD STUDENTSí VOCABULARY MASTERY AT ELEVENTH GRADE OF SMAN 1 PAMARAYAN

The objective of the research was to find out whether there is influence of using Edmodo toward students’ vocabulary mastery at eleventh grade of SMAN 1 Pamarayan. This research used true-experimental as the research design. The population of this research was the eleventh grade at SMAN 1 Pamarayan in academic year 2015-2016. The researcher used simple random sampling to take the sample. The sample of this research were 40 students, 20 students in XI IPA 1 as control class and 20 students in XI IPA 2 as experiment class. The instrument of this research was test. The test was divided into two parts, there were pre-test and post-test. The treatment using Edmodo was administrated for experiment class and using flashcard for control class. The research result indicated that there was improvement between pre-test and post-test result. It could be seen from the pretest mean score of experiment class was 64,4 and control class was 68,2. After having the treatment, the mean score of post-test experiment class was 85,4 and control class was 80,6. Data analysis was attempted to use T-test for two groups design. The research result indicated that the post-test score showed tcount more than ttable (3.63 > 2,02). It means the Ho (null hypothesis) was refused and Ha (alternative hypothesis) was accepted. Based on the data analysis above, the writer concluded that there was influence of using Edmodo toward students’ vocabulary mastery at eleventh grade of SMAN 1 Pamarayan.
