THE INFLUENCE OF USING GUESSING GAME TOWARD STUDENTSí SPEAKING SKILL AT THE SECOND YEAR OF MTs AL-MUBAROK, KOTA SERANG

The objective of this research is to find out the influence of using guessing game toward students’ speaking skill at the second year of MTs Al-Mubarok Kota Serang. The researcher used quantitative research and implemented the quasiexperimental design. There were two groups used in this research: experimental group and control group. The population of this research was students of MTs AlMubarok Serang, and the sample of this research was the students of VIII A as the experimental group and VIII B as the control group which is consisted of 30 students. This research showed that there is a significant influence of guessing game toward students’ speaking skill. It is indicated by the value of t-test which was higher than the value of t-table (7.89 > 0.67867) at the level of significant of α= 0.05 and the degree of freedom of 59. It means that the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. From those findings, it can be concluded that the use of guessing game can influence students’ speaking skill at the second year of MTs Al-Mubarok, Kota serang.
